Our S.T.E.A.M (formerly known as S.T.E.M, with Art as the newest addition) program reinforces your child’s cognitive skills. Our teachers plan developmental-appropriate and safe S.T.E.A.M activities that practices the skills of problem solving, collecting and organizing information, reflecting and reaching conclusions, reasoning logically, classifying and more. These skills are detrimental to building foundation for learning.
Our teachers creative opportunities for children practice social and emotional skills through planned curriculum, such as circle time and group activities. We engage in play and role-model how to express feelings with words. Structured character building enables your child to practice their self-regulation skills, sense of self, autonomy, and identity formation.
Our teachers encourage daily physical activity to increase your child’s gross motor skills through indoor and outdoor play. Our playground is designed to utilize all gross motor activities to increase level of activity, endurance, and variation in types of activity and skill. We also enhance fine motor skills with daily routines, such as dressing, tool use, and arts.
We help children to see how they can relate to their communities and how they foster a personalized sense of belonging and inclusion within a network of people, places, jobs and schools.
We ensure children are aware that they have support within their community, and that they can also support others in their community as well. We will extend the children’s learning and experiences, by utilizing outside agencies to help support these foundations
