Our teachers incorporate singing, reading and pretend play to encourage communication, language and literacy in Toddlers. The learn-through-play approach introduces expressive language and develops skills of listening, responding, using words, simple sentences, vocabulary, and observation. The classrooms are designed to reinforce the Toddlers learning experience with language and literacy.
S.T.E.A.M (formerly known as S.T.E.M, with Art as the newest addition) is introduced to Toddlers to encourage cognitive skills. Our teachers plan age-appropriate S.T.E.A.M activities that practices the skills of problem solving, cause-and-effect exploration, temporal, symbolic thoughts and representation, memory, and sorting. These skills are detrimental to building foundation for learning.
Our teachers engage in meaningful play with Toddlers to role-model social and emotional skills. Opportunities are given to practice social and emotional skills through activities planned, such as circle time and group activities. Structured character building enables the Toddler to practice their self-regulation skills, sense of self, autonomy, and identity formation.
Daily physical activity are encouraged through dancing, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor play. Dancing, indoor and outdoor play enhances gross motor skills and senses of a Toddler. Arts and crafts practices the Toddler’s fine motor skills of using tools, making a mark, sensory exploration, and pincer grasp.
Loveview wants the children to know they have support within their community, and that they can also support others in their community as well. Our teachers extend the children’s learning and experiences, by utilizing outside agencies to help support these foundations.
